Moving closer to the next Latvia-Russia CBC Programme

On 18 June 2021, the 4st meeting of the Joint Programming Committee (JPC) on the preparation of Latvia-Russia Cross-Border Cooperation Programme for the period of 2021-2027 took place online. Representatives of national authorities from Latvia and Russia met the representatives of the European Commission and the participating cross-border regions, and TESIM expert to continue well-proceeding programming.

The JPC members exchanged views and valuable comments on the fifth draft of the Programme document and overviewed the updated Programme strategy. The key issues were fruitfully discussed and addressed to create an enduring basis for mutually beneficial cross-border cooperation between Latvia and Russia.

The JPC participants agreed on the next steps of Programme preparation and decided to meet this autumn. Many thanks to all participants for dedicating their time and energy to the development of the next Latvia-Russia CBC Programme!
