In February 2017 the European Commission approved project summary forms (brief project proposals) of all four Direct Award Projects (DAPs) of Latvia-Russia CBC Programme 2014-2020.
The projects will now proceed with preparation of full applications and technical documents. The full applications will be approved by the Joint Monitoring Committee of the Programme and then submitted to the European Commission by the end of 2017.
The overall indicative amount made available for the DAPs is 11, 74 million EUR. These projects will be contributing to all three Programme thematic objectives:
- business and SME development (1 project)
- environmental protection, climate change mitigation (1 project)
- promotion of border management and border security, mobility and migration management (2 projects)
DAPs are large infrastructure projects that were jointly identified by the Programme participating countries and therefore are selected using direct award procedure.
