On 29 October 2018, the European Commission approved the full application forms of direct award projects that were proposed to be financed within the Latvia-Russia CBC Programme 2014-2020. By this, the two-step approval process is now completed.
The list includes 4 projects with a total value of approximately 13 MEUR (of which Programme co-financing is more than 11 MEUR).
Two projects out of four are in the field of improving border crossing efficiency and security. Two other projects are in the field of cross-border tourism and waste water management.

The Managing Authority and direct award project applicants will proceed with finalising all necessary procedures before starting project implementation.
