On 16 December 2016, Latvia-Russia Cross-Border Cooperation Programme 2014-2020 (hereinafter – Programme) participated in the Pskov region mass-start event for the new international cooperation programmes 2014-2020 in Pskov, Russia.
Over 80 potential applicants from Pskov, Sant Petersburg and various parts of Latvia joined the event to learn about cross-border cooperation opportunities available in the Pskov region.
The event started with a welcome speech of the host – Natalia Goleva, Head of the External economic relations department of the Administration of the Pskov region. The general overview of the available international programmes was given by Maria Bulatova, Consultant of the External economic relations department of the Administration of the Pskov region. She told about the key directions and the priorities of the Pskov region in cross-border cooperation.
Latvia-Russia CBC Programme 2014-2020 was presented by the Information manager for the Leningrad region and St Petersburg Elena Makarova. She thoroughly went through the thematic objectives of the Programme and provided indicative information on the possible Open Call dates.
Each international cooperation programme had a slot to present the key information to the potential applicants: Baltic Sea Region Programme was presented by Elena Kolosova, opportunities of cooperation with Nordic Council of Ministers – by Natalia Goleva and Estonia-Russia CBC Programme – by Sergey Balanev.
The presentations were followed by individual consultations where potential applicants could ask any question related to the application development, project partnership, project budget etc. It was pleasant to see both experienced and totally new applicants at our table.
The last part of day was dedicated to an extensive training provided by TESIM (Technical Support to the Implementation and Management of ENI CBC programmes) expert Georgui Baranets who covered every aspect of project application development paying special attention to the logical structure of the application.
